I needed another chassis for my next Aru Brass model and decided to order it from Japan. It came in the same amount of time as if I ordered it from someplace in the USA. It cost the same as everyone in the USA was selling it for so it worked.
This Blog is all about my adventures in N-Gauge Railroading. There is a second part to this railroad Blog which is a Japanese component as I like to model Japanese railroads.

Is the styrene cutter complete?
February 16, 2024
Updates on the styrene cutter.
Some small updates on the styrene cutter, I got some set screws and installed them in the rod holders. I cut a piece of 6mm metal rod for the cutter and soon I'll attempt to shape the tip into a semi-blade with my Dremel tool.
EDIT: Collar stays have carried today as well as bushings. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to use the bushings. Considering I did such a janky job making a cutting bit it's pretty sharp I'm looking forward to my sharpening stone to make it even sharper.

HDF base for styrene and set screws for the cutter inbound

Are you tired of your styrene cuts not being straight well check this out.
I did a search on YouTube on how to cut styrene and came across this video. I printed the parts and purchased some parts from eBay then assembled the styrene cutter in the video. I need to get some MDF or something to mount it to and get some plexiglass for a straightedge. It doesn't look too bad considering I had to source the hardware to put it together.
