This Blog is all about my adventures in N-Gauge Railroading. There is a second part to this railroad Blog which is a Japanese component as I like to model Japanese railroads.

The shell is on the EF200 finally!!!!
I have a Kato EF200 that I installed a Digitrax DN163K0 decoder, The decoder install was a breeze but I couldn't fit the shell onto the chassis because of the decoder. I needed to modify the shell to make room for the chips on the decoder. I dreaded doing the modification because I was scared of messing up the shell. It's been more than 5 months since I installed the decoder but today was the day to do it so I grabbed the trusty Dremel and Xacto knife and started hacking away. Yes, everything fits and the shell is nice and secure, Glorious pics below for your viewing pleasure. Talk about coincidences look at the color of the Dremel tool and the EF200 wow so strange.
